Promptea is open. If you have written a prompt, packaged a skill, shipped an MCP server or built a small tool that saves you an hour a week, it belongs here.
What you need
- A publisher account. Register, then wait for approval. We read every request, so this is not instant.
- The right to publish it. Your own work, or someone else’s under a licence that allows redistribution, with attribution intact.
- A licence on the entry. MIT, Apache-2.0, CC BY 4.0, CC0, GPL-3.0 or your own terms. Unlicensed entries are rejected.
What a good entry looks like
- A title that says what it does, not what it is. “Turn a bug report into a failing test” beats “Testing prompt v3”.
- The thing itself, in the open. Prompts go in the description in full. Servers and tools link to a repository.
- Requirements. Which model, which runtime, which credentials. Anything the reader has to install.
- Honest limits. Where it breaks, what it costs, what you have not tested. This is the part people come back for.
What gets rejected
- Entries that are a link to a paywall with nothing usable on the page.
- Reposted work without attribution or without a licence that permits it.
- Prompts to bypass the safety limits of a model or a service.
- Anything that harvests credentials, exfiltrates data or hides what it does.
Money
There is none, for now. Every entry is free, there is no commission because there is nothing to take a commission from, and nobody is asked for a card. If that changes, it changes in public and never retroactively for work already published.
