The short version: publish things that work, say who wrote them, and be honest about the parts that do not.
Ownership and licences
You keep the copyright to everything you publish. By submitting an entry you grant Promptea a non-exclusive right to host it, show it and index it. You also confirm that you are allowed to do so. Each entry carries a licence field, and that licence, not this page, governs what readers may do with the work.
Review
Every new publisher and every new entry is approved by a person before it appears. Review looks at three things: does it do what the title claims, is it the publisher’s to give away, and is it described honestly. We do not review for taste. A blunt, ugly, extremely useful script is welcome.
Reporting a problem
If an entry copies your work, leaks something it should not, or simply does not do what it says, write to us with the link and the reason. Entries that infringe are removed. Entries that are merely wrong get a correction notice and a chance to be fixed, because being wrong in public is how most of this field learns.
Security
Anything executable that you take from here, you run at your own risk. Read the code. That advice is unglamorous and it is also the whole of the security model for every registry of this kind, ours included. We remove what we find, but we do not audit every line.
Editorial independence
Reviews on this site are written after installing and running the thing. A publisher cannot buy a review, cannot buy placement, and cannot have a bad review taken down. If we ever accept sponsorship, sponsored items will be labelled as such on the item itself, not in a footer nobody reads.
